ASRC Federal Mission Solutions (AFMS), a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is currently seeking a highly motivated Modeling and Simulation Engineer in Moorestown, NJ.
Essential Job Functions
Use first principles and test data to design, implement, test, and verify dynamic models of complex systems capable of predicting pre-deployment performance.
Develop and implement simulation architectures and models suitable for faster than real-time Monte-Carlo analysis.
Perform analysis using simulations and Monte-Carlo analysis to assess system performance and satisfaction of top-level requirements.
Perform time-domain robustness, failure, and performance assessments.
Perform trade studies and simulation analyses with the objective of enhancing and optimizing system performance and including communication of results.
Develop and maintain model documentation sufficient to support Verification, Validation and Accreditation (VV&A).
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics; an advanced degree is preferred.
5 - 7 years of experience working on projects entailing the development of Modeling & Simulation (M&S) software to characterize performance of Sensor and Weapon systems as well as integrated missile defense systems.
Proficiency in designing (OOD), implementing, and testing C++ programs in a Unix/Linux environment.
Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, UML and SysML.
Experienced in anchoring/fitting first principles models to test data.
Familiarity with Agile development methodology.
Familiarity with configuration management tools (Git, SVN, ClearCase).
Experience in one of more of the following technical specialty areas: radar design and performance; endo/exo-atmospheric interceptor design and performance; AAW interceptor design and performance; target discrimination; ballistic missile threat characterization, performance, or modeling; simulation of large, complex systems; requirements development for large scale system simulations; requirements or performance analysis using models and simulations; or M&S Verification, Validation and Accreditation.
Experience with CMMI Level 5 life cycle processes and procedures.
