The Head of Digital position is a Senior Director/VP-level role, reporting directly to an SVP Industry Managing Director serving a large Financial Services Client. We are looking for a unique individual to help drive digital strategy, execution of digital operations, extension/enhancement of digital capabilities, and provide industry thought leadership in the data-driven digital media space. This position is a member of the Industry Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and is thus responsible for the overall direction of the business as a key contributor to all strategic planning and decision-making. This high-visibility role will have the opportunity to partner with a diverse ecosystem of sales, customer success, solution consulting and digital strategists to bolster our value proposition and enable a coordinated go-to-market strategy.
? Key Functions/Responsibilities:
Lead the teams that directly serve the client's digital needs across strategy, operations, and capability enhancements
Create the optimal leadership and organizational structure to maximize the effectiveness of the team
Collaborate with Martech/AdTech (MadTech) and non-digital Ops leaders on the ELT to share best practices and create roadmap for innovation
Collaborate with Client Management team to drive and support growth initiatives
Engage directly with key client senior stakeholders, forming trust-based relationships
Provide external and internal thought leadership - across client, industry, and other Acxiom/IPG teams
Consistently support and exemplify Acxiom/IPG and Industry team Vision, Mission, and Values
Develop and grow associates and leaders across the Industry team
Build a vision and compelling positioning that resonates with client executives
Identify and develop an ecosystem of data providers and industry specific technology partnerships to solve for a broader set of industry challenges.
Monitor the performance of the overall Acxiom financial services business and drive long-term growth by coordinating client strategy with that of other enterprise financial services clients.
Typical activities include engaging the industry ecosystem on a regular basis, working with sales leaders on go-to-market planning, helping marketing teams with industry messaging, enabling the field on how to present our Client's point-of-view, advocating with product teams on customer requirements, and aligning with partners on delivery of industry solutions.
Present our industry point-of-view to senior customers and prospects in account meetings, customer roundtables, conferences, and industry events.
This is a role for someone who enjoys building customer relationships, opening new doors, speaking at conferences, and helping business leaders achieve success on their digital initiatives Pathway to Year 1 Success:
Develop and demonstrate end-to-end command of the solution set that Acxiom provides the client
Achieve expert-level knowledge of Acxiom & IPG offerings and capabilities
Establish org structure and engagement model that delivers outcomes in line with expectations (operational SLAs, velocity & quality of capability enhancements, thought leadership, etc.)
Become a trusted advisor/partner to key client stakeholders
Establish productive, trust-based relationships with relevant internal stakeholders across the Industry team, Acxiom, and IPG
Produce a 3-year forward-looking roadmap for the Industry Digital function and how it contributes to client and Acxiom/IPG growth

10+ years (MadTech) industry experience
5+ years Director level or greater leadership experience
Client service mindset
Passion for innovation
Foundational understanding of identity resolution
Foundational understanding of campaign process and ability to drive continuous improvement
Foundational understanding of campaign/media performance measurement
Written & oral communication skills that support industry engagement (e.g. published writing, speaking engagements, etc.)
Commitment to delivering results Stand-out Skills/Experience:
15+ years MadTech industry experience
5+ years Senior Director/VP or greater leadership experience
Digital agency experience
Published writing on MadTech/Digital Agency topics
Industry event speaking experience
MBA or other relevant post-graduate degree
