The Sales & Marketing Readiness team is part of Oracle's Global Marketing organization. The team provides content strategy and management services to Product Marketing and other teams to help optimize the distribution of their sales enablement / engagement content and tools that enable Oracle's sales force to nurture and convert prospects into customers. Charter is expanding to include program management of additional strategic initiatives. Team services are often delivered in a project-based manner.
We are seeking a Director of Program Management. As a "player-coach" you will apply project/program management tools and processes to enable team members to efficiently operate and consistently deliver well-managed project journeys and high-quality output at scale for our internal clients. This will primarily be within the context of, but not limited to, content-based sales enablement via Oracle's internal tech platform. The "player-coach" will also involve direct ownership and project management of key initiatives as well as lead and supervise a small team.
The Sales & Marketing Readiness team is split across the U.S. (~25%) and India (~75%), while our internal clients reside mainly in the U.S. and Europe. The Program Manager will join the team in the U.S.
Projects and services to-date include...
Migrating teams and their content across content platforms
Providing on-going consultative services to content publishers on content management strategy
Nurturing a large community of internal content publishers in Product Marketing and other orgs
Interpreting and reorganizing info crucial for Competitive Intelligence win/loss analysis
Gathering customer info and using it to populate a new sales support tool
Creating and operationalizing an executive dashboard of top business goals
A steady flow of strategic projects critical to the success of Oracle's marketing and sales teams is expected.
Primary Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Structure, manage and lead individual projects
Maintain visibility into project portfolio status; ensure status info is always "executive ready"
Define, scale, and operationalize best practice processes for project and program management
Manage / guide the allocation and utilization of team resources to projects
Manage a pipeline of widely varying projects
Collaborate closely with colleagues in India
Undergraduate degree in an analytical field
PMP and/or PgMP or other professional certification
Experience Needed to Succeed
5+ years of managing a sizable portfolio of simultaneous projects and programs
5+ years of managing a team of project managers of varying experience levels
5+ years of working directly with internal clients and managing their expectations
5+ years of working within a matrixed organization , with extensive executive and cross-org engagement
Experience using and administering Wrike or other enterprise-grade project management app
Experience with content management systems is strongly preferred
Management consulting experience helpful
Proficient in MS Office suite, especially Excel (inc. pivot tables) and PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; can switch style and depth of communication by type and seniority of the audience; can produce well-structured executive summaries and reports in PowerPoint
Strong understanding of business numbers, analytics, and analysis
Solid business judgment based on gathering and processing facts and data , plus, asserting reasonable assumptions when data is not available
