Categories: Application Development, Networking & Telecomm Job Title: Electronic Technician II Step A (EM/12) Organization: Electronics Description: Applies comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex electronic problems by interpreting manufacturers manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the inter-relationships of electronic circuits and judgment in planning the work sequence, selection of tools and testing instruments. Constructs and/or modifies individual chassis and components of electronic equipment IAW detailed schematics and layout diagrams. Receives technical guidance, as required, from the supervisor or higher level technicians; and the work is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. May provide technical guidance to lower level technicians. Skills: Pay Rate: $21.01/Hour Requirements: Mandatory Qualifications: Must have a minimum of four years electrical/electronic experience at the journeyman level. Must have an AA degree in Electronic Technology or satisfactory completion of trade/military schools may be substituted for two years experience. Must be able to troubleshoot to component level using schematics, technical publications and test equipment. Must be able to operate a wide range of test equipment used to troubleshoot, repair and align/calibrate video, digital, RF and power electronic equipment. Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of basic electronics by taking and passing a proficiency test. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted. Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance within 18 months of hire. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening. Must possess a valid Drivers License. Desired Qualifications: SMD Soldering training. Fiber Optic Certification. CCTV experience. Digital Video experience.
